President Donald Trump’s border czar Tom Homan has said that he’s “disgusted” by a Democrat senator’s plan to travel to El Salvador to try and return and deport MS-13 gang members to the United States.
Democrat Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) has headed to El Salvador, Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Abrego Garcia is an El Salvadoran national who was deported after he entered the U.S. illegally.
He was deported because the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) determined that Abrego Garcia is a member of the bloodthirsty MS-13 street gang.
MS-13, a designated terrorist organisation, has become infamous for violent crime and brutal murders.
However, Van Hollen claims that Abrego Garcia was “wrongfully abducted” from the U.S.
“He wasn’t abducted,” Homan told “Fox & Friends.”
“He’s an MS-13 gang member, classified as a terrorist that was removed from this country, so we got rid of a dangerous person.
“An El Salvadoran national was returned to the country of El Salvador, so he’s home.”
Homan echoed rhetoric from other Trump officials who have called Abrego Garcia a “public safety threat” while fighting his return to the U.S.
He asserts that his removal was “exactly what should have happened.”
