Former Democrat and self-described “real-life black woman” Jade Gillum has blasted Kamala Harris during a powerful speech and warned voters that her former party uses “fear” to get their support.
Gillum spoke at a rally for U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake where she also declared her support for President Donald Trump.
During her moving speech, Gillum warned that Democrats “invoke fear” and stoke division among races in order to win support from black Americans.
“My name is Jade,” Gillum began.
“I am a former Democrat.
“Unlike Kamala Harris, I’m an actual real-life black woman,” she added, immediately drawing cheers from the crowd.
“I’m a former Democrat who is currently a registered Republican.
“I stand here before you today because I’m tired.
“I’m tired of the Democrats using the generational trauma of my people to garner votes.
“They invoke fear. They tell me I’m oppressed.
“They tell me I’m less than.
“They tell me I’m not good enough.
“And they tell me that my white brothers and sisters in Christ are my enemy.
“No. They are not.”
She continued by explaining that the Democrat Party has become that enemy.
