Microsoft founder Bill Gates is desperately running damage control as he panics over Elon Musk’s DOGE exposing USAID’s corrupt spending of taxpayer money.
Gates is making the rounds on corporate media to push back against Musk’s latest political move—integrating USAID into the State Department.
The shake-up gives Secretary of State Marco Rubio oversight of the agency.
The move puts an end to USAID’s lucrative funding pipeline for Gates’ various “nonprofit” initiatives.
Appearing on NBC’s “Today Show,” Gates attempted to downplay concerns, insisting that USAID’s work is not politically motivated.
“Elon doesn’t understand the importance of USAID’s mission,” he claimed.
“It’s about global development, not politics.”
But the numbers tell a different story.
According to reports, an overwhelming 97% of USAID employee political donations went to Democrats in recent years, contradicting Gates’ claims of neutrality.
Later, Gates stopped by “The View,” where he doubled down on his defense of the agency.

The choice of platform raised eyebrows—hardly a serious venue for an issue of this scale.
His presence on the show only fueled speculation that he’s scrambling to control the narrative.
As expected, the conversation took a turn toward public health, with Gates warning that another pandemic is on the horizon.
