Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has been accused of failing New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers as violent assaults on cops have risen dramatically.
Under the failed leadership of far-left prosecutors and weak-on-crime policies, assaults on NYPD officers have skyrocketed.
Attacks on uniformed police officers are up an alarming 63% over the past six years.
So far in 2025 alone, nearly 1,000 uniformed officers have been attacked.
This is up dramatically from 2019 levels.
Most of the violent assaults involve repeat offenders and illegal aliens released under former President Joe Biden’s open-border policies.
They have left officers bloodied, injured, and even hospitalized.
One notorious case involved a Venezuelan national released into the U.S. by the Biden administration.
He was later convicted of attacking NYPD officers in Times Square.
Other incidents include an off-duty cop beaten and robbed in the Bronx and a gang brawl involving suspected members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua criminal network.
Retired officers and law enforcement experts are pointing fingers at progressive district attorneys like Manhattan’s George Soros-funded Alvin Bragg.
Police said Bragg and other “woke” DAs refuse to prosecute felony assaults on cops.
