A Middle Eastern terror group’s leader has issued an open call for the assassination of President Donald Trump and several high-ranking U.S. officials and citizens in a newly released propaganda video.
Sa’ad bin Atef al-Awlaki, the current leader of al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), appeared in the 34-minute video titled “Inciting the Believers” on Sunday, calling for revenge over U.S. support for Israel in the ongoing war in Gaza.
The video, confirmed by national security sources, includes direct threats to the lives of Trump, Vice President JD Vance and other officials.
“Do not consult anyone about killing infidel Americans,” al-Awlaki says in the video, according to the New York Post. “Go after the scum of the earth and its greatest criminals.”
“These are Trump and his vice president, his advisor and his supporters in terms of finance, administration, and technology.”
Also named in the video are Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and billionnaire Elon Musk, according to officials who have reviewed the footage.
Al-Awlaki escalates his call by urging attacks on their families and any individuals affiliated with White House policy.
