59 Democrats Vote with GOP to Deport Illegals Caught Drunk Driving – EVOL

The House passed a bill to deport illegal aliens caught drunk driving after fifty-nine Democrats voted with Republicans.

The measure passed Thursday with a 274-150 vote.

It was mainly passed GOP votes as one hundred fifty Democrats voted against it.

Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL), who introduced the bill, celebrated its passing in a statement.

“In the United States, someone dies in a crash with an impaired driver every 45 minutes,” Moore said.

“I lost two of my young newlywed constituents to an illegal immigrant driving under the influence of alcohol.”

The bill would make people who were charged with a DUI and are in the U.S. illegally automatically eligible for deportation and permanently inadmissible.

Just last month, an illegal border crosser from El Salvador was accused of killing a mother and son in a car crash that police said involved alcohol.

As Slay News reported, the foreign suspect had been deported four times before causing te deadly crash in Colorado.

Republicans have long pushed for stricter immigration and border security measures.

However, the issues have taken on a particular urgency this year as polls show likely 2024 voters being increasingly concerned about the state of both.
