WASHINGTON (7News) — A teen has been arrested for yesterday’s stabbing of a Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) officer, FCPD officials have confirmed.
Authorities said the incident happened in the 12800 block of Fair Lakes Parkway, where officers had arrived to reports that an unknown caller made statements told dispatch that he had killed two people.

A 16-year-old boy ran toward the officer while “wildly swinging” a knife, according to police.
The entire blade went into the officer’s torso, officials said.

The officer, a six-year veteran of FCPD, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
The 16-year-old was charged with Malicious Wounding, and he remains in custody. His initial statements made to dispatch were determined to be false, according to police officials.
