The New York Times has exclusively reported that the Department of Justice has ordered at least a half-dozen attorneys to investigate far-left billionaire Democrat donor George Soros’s Open Societies Foundation. The directive, which Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s office sent, was communicated to U.S. attorneys’ offices in California, New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Detroit, and Maryland.

The memo suggests department leaders are following orders from the president that specific people or groups be subject to criminal investigation — a major break from decades of past practice meant to insulate the Justice Department from political interference.
