Controversial Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has doubled down on Democrats and their allies using Nazi comparisons against President Donald Trump.
Crockett insists that critics who link such rhetoric to political violence are “absolutely wrong.”
The remarks came during an interview with CNN host Kasie Hunt on “The Arena,” days after the political assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
Hunt pressed Crockett on whether Democrats’ repeated references to Trump and his supporters as “Hitler” or “fascists” may have fueled extremist violence.
“They’re absolutely wrong,” Crockett responded.
“Here’s the reality: They don’t want American people to know any forms of history. …
“When you look at an authoritarian … what they do is they try to basically say you have to do whatever the government says, even if that means that your personal freedoms are going to be subjected to whatever we say, whether it’s right or wrong.
“Right now, our personal freedoms are constantly under attack.”
Crockett didn’t provide any evidence of these claims, however.

Kirk, a 31-year-old conservative activist, was shot and killed on September 10 during a campus event in Utah.
Investigators later revealed that bullet casings at the scene were inscribed with anti-fascist slogans.
Crockett rejected
