Two men have been arrested after authorities discovered a real incendiary device under a Fox 13 News vehicle in Magna, Utah.
Officials identified the suspects as 58-year-old Adeeb Ahamed Nasir and 31-year-old Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir.
Suspicious Device
Police said the device had been lit but failed to detonate.
The incendiary device was found Friday beneath a Fox 13 news car.
Because of the threat, the FBI took over the case.
The FBI said the device under the news vehicle posed a serious risk.
“FOX 13 News is working closely with law enforcement,” station manager Leona Wood said.
She added that the safety of employees remains the station’s top priority.
Federal Response
Agents obtained a warrant for a Magna home linked to the suspects.
The residence was located near 2800 South and 8500 West.
Both men were found at the address Friday night.
Special agents, along with Salt Lake City and Unified Fire bomb squads, conducted the search.
