Trump Threatens ‘Very Serious’ Investigation into ‘Sloppy’ Chris Christie – EVOL

President Donald Trump has signaled that he may move to reopen an investigation into former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s infamous 2013 “Bridgegate” scandal.

Trump put Christie on notice while blasting his onetime ally turned vocal critic as “Sloppy Chris.”

In a late-night Truth Social post, Trump accused Christie of lying about his role in the politically motivated lane closures on the George Washington Bridge.

The president suggested that Christie avoided prison by throwing his staff under the bus.

“I just watched Sloppy Chris Christie be interviewed on a ratings-challenged ‘News’ Show, ‘This Week With George Slopadopolus,’ on ABC Fake News,” Trump wrote.

“Do you remember the way he lied about the dangerous and deadly closure of the George Washington Bridge in order to stay out of prison, at the same time sacrificing people who worked for him, including a young mother, who spent years trying to fight off the vicious charges against her?”

“Chris refused to take responsibility for these criminal acts,” the president added.

“For the sake of JUSTICE, perhaps we should start looking at that very serious situation again?

“NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!”

Trump’s post came hours after Christie appeared on ABC News’ “This Week.”
