Latest Turn Amid ‘Kiss Cam’ Scandal Fallout – EVOL

Kristin Cabot, the former chief people officer of the data and AI startup Astronomer, resigned from the company on Thursday. 

Her resignation followed a public scandal that erupted after she was captured on the stadium’s “kiss cam” with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron during a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts.

A spokesperson for Astronomer confirmed Cabot’s resignation in a statement to the New York Post. “I can confirm that Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer.”

“She has resigned.”

The resignation comes less than a week after Byron stepped down from his role as CEO following the public release of the concert footage.

The incident took place last Wednesday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, just outside Boston, during Coldplay’s live show. 

Cabot and Byron were recorded by the stadium’s “kiss cam” embracing and reacting with apparent alarm as the camera zoomed in on them. 

They quickly ducked out of frame in an effort to avoid being seen by the audience.

The moment drew the attention of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who paused to acknowledge the scene unfolding on the stadium’s jumbotron. 

“Oh, what?” Martin remarked, adding, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
