MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell has sparked fresh controversy by accusing Vice President J.D. Vance of trying to push President Donald Trump out of office through his calls for the release of an alleged Jeffrey Epstein birthday letter.
The issue centers on an October podcast appearance by Vance on This Past Weekend with comedian Theo Von, where Vance supported making Epstein’s client list public.
O’Donnell seized on this to suggest Vance is undermining Trump amid the ongoing Epstein-related political battles.
“JD Vance, the person who would move up to the presidency if this issue becomes so difficult that it drives Donald Trump out of the presidency,” O’Donnell stated.
He added, “If JD Vance creates a groundswell demand by more and more Trump supporters for the release of that letter, that could do more damage to Donald Trump than anything that has ever happened to Donald Trump in his entire political career.”
O’Donnell further said, “If JD Vance wanted to harm Donald Trump tonight, wanted to start forcing him out of the presidency, demanding to see the letter would be a very good way to do that.”
