While appearing on an end of the year panel, CBS News legal correspondent Jan Crawford admitted that President Biden’s cognitive decline was “underreported” by prominent media outlets.
“Under-covered and underreported? That to me would be Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised at the presidential debate,” Crawford said, pointing to President Biden’s disastrous debate performance this past June.
Despite the fact that Biden rarely held press conferences or had any spontaneous interactions with the press and often spoke incoherently, mainstream media outlets insisted that the mountain of evidence was manufactured by social media users and conservative media.
In the weeks leading up to the debate, Crawford’s own CBS News claimed that video evidence of Biden’s decline — including a troubling incident where he had to be assisted off a stage by former President Barack Obama — were digitally altered.
Citing reports from the president’s aides and advisors, many of whom claimed Biden was totally fine, CBS and other outlets labeled such videos as “cheap fakes.”
