UPDATE: 3 deceased, 6 fatally injured after mass shooting at Christian school in Madison, WI – EVOL

A tragic shooting unfolded on Monday morning at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, leaving two dead and six fatally injured. The Madison Police Department confirmed that the suspected shooter, student, was found deceased inside the building.

In a press conference on Monday afternoon, Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes provided new details about the devastating shooting that occurred earlier in the day at Abundant Life Christian School.

The tragedy claimed the lives of three individuals—a teacher and two students, including the suspected shooter, a teenage student at the school.

Six others injured in the incident, including two students who sustained life-threatening injuries and are currently being treated at the hospital. Four additional students suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are receiving care at area hospitals.

Chief Barnes expressed the community’s grief and emphasized the need to support all those impacted. “This is an unimaginable tragedy,” he said. “Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected.”
