Tim Allen took another swipe at Disney after the studio replaced him with Chris Evans in last year’s “Buzz Lightyear” movie.
Allen has always played the role but Disney wanted a different actor to play Buzz in “Lightyear.”
Many thought it was over Allen’s conservative views.
“Lightyear” bombed at the box office, however.
So Allen is back as Buzz Lightyear for a new film in the franchise after new management took control of Disney.
Allen who is returning as Buzz for “Toy Story 5,” said: “They were two completely different movies.
“And Chris did a great job doing an ancillary part.
“It was very confusing to all of us on the Toy Story movie side, which was real?
“I’m a script guy, so if Buzz is real, then Chris’s version of it was, as an actor doing it, real confusing to me.”
“Lightyear” flopped, earning only $51.7 million in North America.
