Planned Parenthood Sparks Firestorm Over Eyebrow-Raising Men's Health Month Message – EVOL

A Planned Parenthood affiliate is under fire after issuing a social media post encouraging “trans” men—biological women who identify as male—to schedule cervical cancer screenings in recognition of Men’s Health Month.

The post, shared over the weekend by Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, sparked widespread backlash for promoting female-specific medical procedures as part of men’s health advocacy. 

“Trans men are men and need cervical cancer screenings, too,” the post read. 

It featured an illustration of what appears to be a trans-identifying woman with double mastectomy scars and offered tips on how to make the procedure more “comfortable” for trans-identifying patients.

“It’s Men’s Health Month, and that means highlighting the health needs of ALL men,” the post added. 

The message was immediately met with skepticism and ridicule across social media platforms. 

Before Planned Parenthood turned off comments, the post had already drawn thousands of reactions, with many users reacting with the “laugh” emoji—a strong indication of public mockery.

Critics said the post was misleading and contradicted basic biology, noting that only biological women have cervices and are at risk for cervical cancer.
