New York’s Democrat Attorney General Letitia James has been hit with a lawsuit after she unlawfully sought to restrict speech regarding an abortion reversal drug.
In a complaint filed on Tuesday, two pro-life organizations and pregnancy clinics said that James’s effort to censor them is “unconstitutional.”
In May, James took legal action against eleven pregnancy centers, claiming that they were providing “misleading” information to expectant mothers regarding progesterone.
progesterone is a substance that can counteract the negative effects of chemical abortions, as The Daily Caller reported.
In response, the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, Gianna’s House and Options Care Center filed a retaliatory lawsuit.
The groups claimed that James was using her position to “censor” pro-lifers’ speech by preventing them from talking to women about the abortion reversal pill.
They argue that the move by the AG is deemed “unconstitutional.”
