Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shredded NPR’s “woke” CEO Katherine Maher during a fiery hearing on Capitol Hill.
Greene dropped the hammer during Wednesday’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) subcommittee hearing on the public media’s biased content.
Maher testified along with PBS CEO Paula Kerger and two other witnesses.
After opening statements, Greene, the subcommittee’s chairwoman, blasted Maher for her previous job of overseeing Wikipedia.
Greene accurately called out Wikipedia as a “platform that doesn’t tell the truth.”
The congresswoman then read out personal statements that Maher previously made on social media so the “public can understand” her views.
Greene noted Maher has called President Donald Trump a “deranged, racist sociopath.”
The NPR CEO has also said America is “addicted to white supremacy.”
Greene called the statement “appalling.”
Maher has also declared that she finds the terms “boy and girl” to be “erasing language” for “non-binary” people.
“The federal funding that your outlet receives comes from all American taxpayer dollars,” Greene said.
“Not just from your viewers who support such statements as these, let me inform you that your federal funding is also paid for by the other half of the country.
