The mother of a six-year-old girl named Mia, who was severely injured during a car accident apparently caused by alleged attempted Trump assassin Ryan Routh, says her daughter is awake and starting a rehabilitation program to “restart her brain.”
Norka Pardo was in a vehicle with her daughter Mia Rosalie Monreal, her youngest son, and her boyfriend when they got into a terrible accident on Interstate 95. According to Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, the crash happened during law enforcement’s apprehension and arrest of Routh.
Mia had to be airlifted to a hospital for surgery and then went to St. Mary’s Medical Center for a month and a half, WPTV reported. The young child suffered a severe brain injury and was in a coma for a month, Pardo told the news station.
In an update posted on Christmas Eve to a GoFundMe page set up for the family by a friend, Pardo said Mia was admitted to Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital on December 18, “for the program of ‘Disorders of Consciousness.’”
