Most Americans Say Trump-Russia Probe Was ‘Hit Job,’ Want FBI Officials Prosecuted, Poll Shows

The vast majority of Americans say the FBI’s now-debunked Trump-Russia probe was a political “hit job” against the 45th president, a new poll has revealed.

According to a Rasmussen poll, released after Special Counsel John Durham released his report on the origins of Russiagate, two-thirds of voters believe President Donald Trump was the target of politically motivated investigations by partisan law enforcement officials.

The majority of respondents said they want the FBI officials involved to be “criminally prosecuted” for pushing false allegations that Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia.

Last week, Durham released his long-awaited report.

The investigations by the special counsel found that the FBI should never have launched an investigation into Trump’s campaign over its alleged ties with Russia.

Durham found that the FBI knew the allegations were false and that they were fabricated by Hillary Clinton and her 2016 campaign.
