Hunter Biden Gets Sentencing Date After Conviction On Felony Gun Charges – EVOL

President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is set to be sentenced on November 13 after a jury convicted him of federal firearms charges earlier this year.

In June, a jury found Hunter Biden guilty on charges related to his purchase and possession of a firearm while he was addicted to crack cocaine. Biden lied about his drug use on a federal form when he sought to purchase a firearm and was initially slated to accept a generous plea deal that would have seen him avoid jail time, though the deal was axed by a federal judge.

Special Counsel David Weiss later refilled charges not long after he was appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

In September, the president’s son was indicted on three felony gun charges after the plea deal fell through. He was accused of buying and having a gun, a Colt Cobra 38SPL, for 11 days in October 2018 when he was using crack cocaine.

Hunter lied on a federal form about his drug use when he bought the weapon. Federal law bars illegal drug users from having guns.
