Three people were shot and another stabbed in a wild family fight at an Arizona airport on Christmas Day — with another man later busted for turning up with guns thinking there was an active shooting, according to cops.
The violence erupted at a pre-security restaurant in Terminal Four of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport around 9:45 p.m. when someone pulled out a gun during a fight and opened fire, according to ABC 15.
Three people were found with gunshot injuries, including a woman left fighting for her life, police said.
Cops then detained a man with at least one stab wound and an uninjured girl in the airport parking garage, CNN reported.
“I believe this was a family dispute that escalated,” Sgt. Mayra Reeson told reporters early Thursday.
About two hours after the shooting, another man turned up at the airport with several firearms after getting a false text alert that there was an active shooting, Reeson said, according to AZ Central.
“There was no active shooter; there never was,” Reeson said.
The alleged gunman was arrested after an altercation with Phoenix police.
