Former U.S. Attorney Predicts SCOTUS Will Unanimously Overturn Colorado’s Ballot Ruling

Former assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Maryland Ty Cobb predicted that the U.S. Supreme Court will overturn the Colorado Supreme Court decision to bar Trump from the general election with a unanimous ruling.

While Cobb represented the Trump White House during special counsel Robert Mueller’s unfounded Russian collusion probe, he has since become a critic of his former client. Cobb has stated that Trump has been a “disaster” for the Republican Party and has condemned him for his efforts to challenge the 2020 election.

His personal opinion of the former president did not stop him from shredding Tuesday night’s unprecedented decision from the Colorado Supreme Court, however, as Cobb told CNN that the ruling will be overturned.

Cobb admitted that the ruling will serve as “vindication” for Trump, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and slammed the indictments levied against him as blatant election interference. He went on to predict that the Supreme Court will unanimously move to overturn the Colorado court’s decision.

“I think this case will be handled quickly,” the longtime attorney said. “I think it could be 9-0 in the Supreme Court for Trump.
