Liberal groups and congressional Democrats have spent the past several years targeting the conservative-led U.S. Supreme Court.
The moves are a desperate effort to cause a situation that would allow Democrat President Joe Biden to appoint a liberal justice to even the playing field a bit.
Since they can’t get that to happen, the next best thing is pressuring conservative justices to recuse themselves from certain cases.
This push for recusals is what’s currently happening with Justice Samuel Alito.
According to the Washington Examiner, many experts believe the pressure campaigns are a “coordinated effort” to delegitimize the Supreme Court.
Alito found himself in the crosshairs recently after it was revealed that he flew an American flag upside-down in 2021.
The Left has also targeted Alito for flying the “An Appeal to Heaven” flag, a patriotic symbol.
Democrats and liberal activists claim that Alito’s flag flying was related to the Jan. 6 Capitol protests.
They claim the same flag was used as a symbol of what the Left falsely describes as an “insurrection.”
As a result, those same people want Alito to recuse himself from certain cases related to Jan. 6 or President Donald Trump.
