A House Democrat has issued a call for President Donald Trump’s impeachment over his administration’s deportation of a violent illegal alien gang member.
The call was made by Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-MI), who cited Trump’s handling of a Supreme Court ruling related to an El Salvadoran deportation case.
The controversy revolves around the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Abrego Garcia entered the United States illegally and had been living in Maryland.
He is a known member of the murderous MS-13 street gang, a designated terrorist organization, and has been under federal investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) over his ties to a human trafficking ring.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) also revealed that Abrego Garcia has a history of beating his wife, who filed a domestic abuse complaint with local police.
Despite his history, Democrats are outraged over Abrego Garcia’s deportation to his native El Salvador, Breitbart reported.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court ordered that Abrego Garcia should be released following his erroneous deportation to El Salvador.
The deportation occurred under an initiative by the Trump administration, which targeted alleged Venezuelan gang members.
Despite the court’s directive, the Trump administration has opted not to retrieve Abrego Garcia immediately,
