The Tesla cybertruck that exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas was rented through the Turo app, a peer-to-peer online marketplace that allows users to rent their vehicles to others.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the company’s senior team is investigating after the explosion.
“The whole Tesla senior team is investigating this matter right now. Will post more information as soon as we learn anything,” Musk said.
“We’ve never seen anything like this,” he added.

One individual died and seven others sustained injuries from the shocking incident.
