Biden DOJ To Charge ‘The Blaze’ Journalist Steve Baker Over January 6

The Biden Department of Justice intends to file criminal charges against The Blaze reporter Steven Baker, who covered the January 6 Capitol protests on the ground as they unfolded. He has continued to cover the event for The Blaze and has released a number of stories that refute key claims from Capitol Police officers and federal prosecutors.

“My attorney has just been notified by @FBI that I am going to be charged by @TheJusticeDept for my journalistic efforts on Jan 6,” Baker wrote in an X post Thursday. “I have to self-surrender on Tuesday. Charges are yet unknown. Stay tuned for more information to follow this afternoon.”

The charges are unclear as of this report.

Baker recently released a story that contradicts sworn testimony given by U.S. Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus, whose testimony was key to the “seditious conspiracy” conviction of several Oath Keepers members.
